Inner West Sydney Mobile Massage Services
General Massage Questions
What parts of Sydney do you cover?
As our company name suggests we provide mobile massage services to the Inner West of Sydney. We define the Inner West as being South of the Parramatta River ranging from the Sydney CBD to as far West as Strathfield/Homebush, South West to around Wiley Park, South to around Bexley and east to Beaconsfield/Alexandria. We do service some lower North Shore suburbs as well. For a list of suburbs other than the obvious Balmain, Glebe, Leichhardt, Newtown, etc we may visit please click here.
We also will travel into the Sydney CBD (however any parking costs will need to be included in the fee).
For massages longer than one hour (eg where a couple both require a 60 minute massage) we may be prepared to travel a little further so please check with us.
However please note, our predominant area covered is the Inner West of Sydney. Some people appear to think that Hornsby, Campbelltown, the Northern Beaches or the Hills district are in the Inner West of Sydney. We don't.
For the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney then please check out
Eastern Suburbs Mobile Massage.
If you live in the Parramatta or Hills District of Sydney and are after a quality remedial or relaxation massage in your home then we would suggest you consider
Massage Parramatta and Sydney Hills Massage.
What are your prices?
Our base rate is $120 for a one hour massage. Any parking fees incurred by therapists will be added to the fee. For a full list of prices please click here.
Do you guarantee your services?
Yes. If Inner West Mobile Massage Sydney does not deliver everything that you expect from a quality massage - simply tell us you want your money back!
We'll refund you immediately
No reasons required, no strings attached, no exceptions
However given the nature of massage work, we cannot guarantee that we will 'cure' your back pain or make your sore neck go away (although we'll do our best!).
Do you offer half hour massages?
No. Unfortunately it is not time effective for us to provide 30 minute massages. However if a couple each wish to have a 30 minute massage then we may be able to assist you.
How much notice do I need to give to make a booking?
To maximise the chance of getting the most suitable therapist for you, then the more the notice the better.
However, we realise that life isn't always that predictable and we endeavour to provide a therapist to you at short notice if we can (our current fastest time between a booking being made and a therapist arriving is less than 25 minutes!).
Please Note: Given that we provide therapeutic massage services bookings with female therapists are only accepted from females (males who wish to see a female therapist will require a female to book their massage on their behalf). Thank you for your understanding.
Can I book online?
We are trialling direct online booking online booking facility though Ezybook. However, only a very limited number of therapists accept online bookings at present.

Please note: We seldom arrange massage via email as being mobile therapists we can be away from our computers for extended periods of time. If you wish to make a booking then please either call or use the direct online booking facility. Please only use email for general enquiries about our service.
Are you available 7 days a week?
Yes. Our services our available 7 days a week from around 8am in the morning until around 9pm at night depending on the particular therapist (not quite a 24 hour remedial massage service but we do our best!)
Can I get a Health Fund rebate?
This can depend on what type of policy you have with your Health Fund. Most policies that include extras do give a benefit for Remedial Massage, although we would recommend that you check with you particular fund to find out if you are covered. As of Oct 2019 most health funds no longer recognise mobile massage as eligible for a rebate.
All of our therapist have some Health Fund provider numbers. However, unfortunately not all therapists are registered with all funds. Please check with us when making your booking.
Please Note:
Whilst we are registered with all health funds as providers of remedial massage, we are unable to provide claimable receipts for Medibank Private and AHM as they do not accept receipts for mobile massage services. Also we do not offer HICAPs massage rebates for BUPA, NIB, Medibank Private, HCF, etc.
In order for you to be able to claim a rebate for remedial massage from your fund, then we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your fund. Some health funds do permit online claims for remedial massage.
In addition, it is a requirement of the health funds that remedial massage rebates are not available for visits to hotels or group bookings.

Can I choose a specific therapist (or gender)?
Generally yes although there may occasionally be some geographical/logistical constraints. Our therapists are listed at "Therapists".
Our philosophy is to match your requirements to the particular skills of our therapists, so whether you want a deep remedial or a relaxing aromatherapy style massage will influence the choice of therapist that we recommend to you. The geographical and logistical constraints may enter the equation as our therapists are scattered throughout the Inner West.
Please Note: Female therapists are only available if appointment is booked by a female. Males who wish to make an appointment with a female therapist will need to have the booking made on their behalf by a female.
Can I pay by credit card?
Unfortunately this is no longer for the case for most therapists. Whilst we used to be able to accept card over the phone as PINs are now required, we are no longer able to provide this service. A couple of therapists do carry credit card facilities but please check first when bookings.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that life is unpredictable and personal circumstances can change at short notice. We prefer not to charge a cancellation fee if there is no impact on the time/scheduling of the therapist.
However, we are professional therapists and this is how we earn our living. We reserve the right to charge up to 100% of the fee based on the amount of cancellation notice given and the impact on the therapist(s) involved (for example, travel time/ travel costs/other bookings that have been knocked back).
Do we provide a mobile beauty treatment service?
No. We can only offer mobile massage services. If any beauty therapists wish to promote their services through these pages then please email us at info@innerwestmassage.com.au
What happens during an Inner West Mobile Massage?
When our therapist first arrives at your home, you will be asked to fill out a client intake form. This will provide the therapist with the information about you that will enable them to give you the style of massage most appropriate for you. If you have any specific requirements please tell the therapist at the start. eg if your neck is tight you may want more work there. If you prefer a lighter or deeper massage then let that preference be known.
While your filling out the form, the therapist will be setting up the table for your massage. The therapist will then go to a bathroom to wash their hands while you undress to your level of comfort and lie on the table as directed by your therapist. A towel will be provided by the therapist.
The therapist will return to the room when you are under the drape. Your work is done, all you have to do is enjoy and relax! The therapist will undrape the section of body that they will work on first and begin the massage. If you want silence during the massage, your therapist will respect that or you may want music to be playing.
When the therapist finishes with one area of the body, they will redrape that part and undrape the next section to be massaged. When the massage is over, the therapist will again leave the room so that you can get dressed again in private.
During the massage ,please don't hesistate to ask your therapist questions about anything which you're unsure of or any concerns you may have.
Do we offer corporate massage services?
We primarily offer massage services to private clients in their own homes. However some of our therapists are available for corporate massage work. Please email for more details.
We also offer home massage packages to companies keen to provide their employees with a corporate reward - a unique massage incentive!
Do we provide massages under Workers Compensation?
No.
Do we provide therapists for special events such as Hen's Parties massage, "Night Before" Wedding massage etc?
Yes. We have provided therapists for these kinds of events in Sydney. Please call us on 0421 410057 if you require details.
Please note, the more notice you give us then more chance we have of being able to spoil you and your guests with wonderful relaxing massages!
General massage questions
When should I get a massage?
Any time is a great time for a massage! You do not need to wait until you're injured or stressed. Indeed, massage is extremely effective as a preventative maintenance for a person's body and mind. So there is no need to wait until your headache starts to pound or your back hurts from overwork or stress.
A regular massage can be a great way to deal with stress and prevent it from causing pain or discomfort to your body.
When should I not get a massage?
There are contraindications for receiving a massage. These include
Generally the guidelines are straightforward - the massage therapist does not want to make any underlying medical condition worse and you don't want to pass anything contagious to your therapist. Some women find that having a massage during menstruation (the first two days of the period) can make flow heavier. If you are unsure then please check with your doctor before commencing massage therapy.
